ABOUT
Holly Stone has twenty years experience teaching the flute to students of all ages and abilities. As a performer she has played with the Nashville and Huntsville Symphony Orchestras, the Nashville Flute Choir, Nashville Praise Symphony, WPLN Live from Studio C, in addition to chamber, pops, jazz, and solo recitals. She was an adjunct professor of flute at Cumberland University, taught at the Raleigh Conservatory of Music and the W.O. Smith Music School, has run successful private lessons studios in several states. She has also run flute clinics in schools and adjudicated numerous competitions. Besides teaching and performing, Holly also founded Mirabel Music, a wedding musician's company. She now plays for the FBC strings and church orchestras.
Holly earned a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from The Hartt School and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Houghton College. She has studied with John Wion, Bradley Garner, Nancy Sanderson, Joanna Bassett, and Julia Tunstall. Masterclasses and advanced studies were conducted with Michel Debost, Leone Buyse, Robert Willoughby, Jeanne Baxtresser, and Brooks de Wetter Smith.

Her objective is to foster a welcoming, joyful, and inspiring environment for every flute player. She derives satisfaction from cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages committed practice and hard work. Her aim is to help each student realize their full potential, guiding them toward achieving their goals.
In addition to teaching and performing flute, Holly has also taught elementary and middle school general music and choir and has homeschooled her two sons.
